You can create a desktop shortcut to automatically open a Paymee project. Additionally, you can also create a desktop shortcut that will open Excel with no Add-Ins active or just the Paymee Add-In active (PaymeeV4.xla). There may be unforeseen conflicts with the Paymee Add-In & other third party Excel Add-Ins. Shortcuts can also be used to correct any conflict with another Excel Add-In. Below are some common shortcut configurations.
4Creating a Desktop Shortcut to open Excel & just the Paymee Add-In
| Pros: | Prevents conflicts that may occur between Paymee and other Add-In's that are installed on the user PC. Use this if you experience any strange behavior & to optimize Paymee speed. This will load Excel with Paymee the fastest & utilize the least memory running Paymee. |
| Cons: | Other Add-In's are disabled. |
To Create:
| 1) | so your desktop is visible. |
| 2) | If you already have an Excel shortcut on your desktop, select the shortcut and drag it over while holding down Ctrl so that a copy is created. If you do not have an Excel shortcut: from the Windows Start menu find the Excel item that you use to launch Excel; Right-click it and select 'Copy' then right click anywhere on your desktop and select 'Paste Shortcut'. |
| 3) | Right-click the new Shortcut & select Properties. In the dialog that opens, add to the end of the Target a space & the following text: |

Adjust the above if the file PaymeeV4.xla is installed in a different directory (default shown).

| Cons: | Excel will use more memory & open slower as compared to other shortcut configurations listed here. |
To Create:

| 2) | Open the Windows Explorer and go to the location of the file you want to create a shortcut for. Right-click the file & select copy. Close Windows Explorer & right click on your desktop. Select Paste Shortcut. |
| Note: | In order to use Paymee with this shortcut, 'Sapro Systems Paymee' must be checked off in the Excel Tools -> Add-In's... menu. |

| Pros: | Excel opens the fastest & uses the least memory. Use this to use just Excel with no Add-In's. |
| Cons: | All Excel Add-In's are disabled & can't run Paymee projects from Excel when opened using this shortcut. |
